Over the Edge is a high-adrenaline fundraiser where participants raise money benefiting United Way of Merced County and their RISE partner agencies for the chance to rappel down the Tioga Apartments in downtown Merced. Raising $1,000 or more guarantees you a spot on the ropes on August 30th. No experience needed—just courage for a cause!
This unforgettable event also features a community block party with food, drinks, music, and fun for the whole family.

There’s a $75 registration fee (non-refundable) and a $1,000 fundraising minimum due by event day (August 30) to guarantee your spot. If spots remain, we’ll invite the next highest earners.

Nope! All training and safety gear are provided on-site by professionals who are trained and certified making the event safe and secure.

Participants must be at least 100 lbs and no more than 300 lbs. Anyone under the age of 18 requires a parent or legal guardian’s signature on the legal waiver.

Yes! People can join the event page as a team and you can fundraise together! The more you fundraise, the more rapellers you can add!!!! For every $1,000 raised by your team, one member earns a spot to rappel. For example, raising $3,000 allows three team members to participate.

No problem—nominate someone else! Rally your coworkers to raise $1,000 and send your boss, teammate, or that brave friend over the edge instead. It’s the ultimate team challenge. (and bragging rights are included).

We are partnering with Tioga-Sequoia Brewing Company, GSF Properties, and more to close down N Street between Main and 18th to bring you an all day block party with drinks, food, vendors, music and more!!!!!!

Participants should wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing. Closed-toe shoes are required. Avoid loose clothing or accessories that could interfere with safety equipment.

Safety is our top priority. In the event of severe weather conditions, the event may be postponed or rescheduled. Participants will be notified promptly with updates.
